The Project

The Selfridges’ Link Fit Out Project involved the creation of a new grand entrance with barrel vaulted external soffit, marble floor and feature lighting, including a glazed entrance leading to an open plan transitional space connecting the original Classic building to the more modern SWOD space.

The entrance on Duke Street was timed to ensure the store could cope with the footfall increase expected when the nearby Bond Street Crossrail station opens. A full fit out of the internal space was undertaken to unify elements distinctive to Selfridges including fluted columns, coffered ceilings, Terrazzo flooring and glazed brand screens. Trading could not be affected and works were undertaken day and night within the constraints imposed by one of the busiest stores in the world.
